THE TABLA-TEACHER

We are glad to be able to offer you in this diszipline of learning a well experienced, competent and skilled tablamaster. Sajal Karmakar is not only a teacher in tabla, he is also a member in the board of examination. In addition he is a well known musician not only in India. Beside his prior education in the subject of Tabla he received a bachelor degree in vocal and also has a good basic musical education. In the month of May and November he teaches for e period of 4 weeks at TARANG in Nürnberg, Germany.

COURSE STRUCTURE AND COSTS

Usually most of the lessons are given individual. The cost of a 45 Minutes lesson is 27.-- Euro. Usually it is recommended to make a 15 lessons course in the 4 weeks when Sajal Karmakar is available. The time for the lessons should be arranged with the office of Tarang before the arival of Sajal Karmakar. This intensive course will give enough material (compositions) to the student for the comming months when Sajal is back in India again. The Student will also get a detailed schedule for the 5 month Tabla practise with weekly changing practises.

For Students which are from far away we offer a 3 days course. The student can rent a apartment where also Sajal stays in the the time when he is here. We get special prices and one day will cost 39.-- Euro for the Apartment (Kitchen, Sleeping Room, Living Room and Bath Room). Every day the student can book 5 lessons with breaks and afterwords he can practise in his room. After that he will be ready with enough materiial and schedule for the practise at home.
